We have been involved with the design of criminal justice facilities since 1982 when we started the design of the Licking County Jail, which was the first “direct supervision” jail in the State of Ohio.

We have designed detention facilities for 17 counties in Ohio.  These facilities include full service county jails, multi-county jails, community based correctional facilities, juvenile residential centers, and juvenile detention facilities. We were selected by the State of Ohio to design the prototype of a full service county jail to be used by counties throughout Ohio.

We have served on various committees reviewing standards for adult facilities to be built in Ohio, including the Governor's Office of Criminal Justice and the Bureau of Adult Detention.

We constantly communicate with staff from the Bureau of Adult Detention and the Ohio Department of Youth Services to ensure that they are involved in our projects, starting with the programming & design meetings and continuing with all project review meetings.
